PC Fair Mania

Today i went to the Penang International Sports Arena for the very first time. Its not that far from USM, only about 10minutes drive, and thankfully we managed to get a lift from the hostel canteen uncle (dont ask) cause it was such a h o t day, and to have gone by bus would be... bleh! The PC Fair was going on and so i thought since i was free today (tho i do have things to do.my bad) and everyone had/was gone/going, i might as well go too.



Loads of things of course, with cheap prices screaming out at you.












But seriously i find that worse, cause the promoters all shoved flyers and leaflets at me and i was even more blur. I mean, how la to check out all the prices, compare and choose one?!?! Gah!








The Canon tower of printers seemed to catch everyone's attention and i saw many ppl leaving with the boxes. By the time i left, the tower was missing 1/3 of its 'bricks'...
















After an hour of walking around, i got too fed up with the crowd and the pushing and shoving. Each time i got to something that i'd like to look at, the masses would jostle and shove and i'd give up. I feel pressured to buy or move on, move on!







Did i mention how packed it was?

I retreated to the stands surrounding the middle arena, as Suria dived back into the mob of people to buy a cooling pad. (To me unnecessary,as laptops have survived without them for so long, suddenly "need" it. Pah!) I didnt wanna join her and Sim cause seriously, it was jam packed! At one point, we were at a stand-still and i could practically feel the crotch of the guy behind me pressing up against me, and i know it wasn't his fault (Or was it...hmmm...) But Justin SNGH also was "molested" from behind as an uncle with a big belly rubbed against his back and someone accidentally (?) groped his butt...


In the midst of the crowd, from where i was sitting i managed to spot (with my contact lensed eagle eyes) the guys wondering about. At least half the people there were probably USM students.
Kinda fun spotting people, like a book i used to have called Where's Wally...ANyone ever played that before?




Finally 3+hours later we were ready to leave. I feel that the PC Fair plays with everyone's brain somehow, and there's the sudden need to buy-buy-buy! Sim and Joshua bought digicams, Merv got external hard drive, Kash and Troy got speakers, Wud got a thumb drive, Kevin got a webcam, digicam and new Britney Spears type headphones, and Suria bought her cooling pad... (snigger...) And me? I got squat. Only had RM12 in my wallet and the ATM was outta money...
I think it was for the best.
