Blocked Nose

Bleh- today woke up with one nose hole blocked.
Again, thanks ALOT Squatto for passing me your caugh and flu... I'm never gonna be ur work partner ever again.
So irritating, sniff and sniff but no air entering my left nostril at ALL...thank goodness i brought along with me a "nose-sniffer", ya know the small torpedo shaped things u stuff into ur nose and inhale deeply and it unblocks the blocked... Life saver.. See mom, lucky i brought it with me..

Gah! i my hp gprs not working, so i cant upload a funny pic that i'd like to of me n my roomie... Oh , but here's one that i dug out from some time ago...What you're looking at is actually pencil holders.... i'm SERIOUS! told you before right, that Penang has all sorts of WEIRDO things. So yeah, the bottom of the pencil holder is shaped like some alien-three sided you-know-what's..

Typical day

Weight: no scales (hurrah!) No. of ciggies smoked in 20years: 0 (v.good) No. of bf's: 1 No. of assignments due:2 (Eeeeks!)

Ooh, woke up from nice dream, too bad cant remember it. Alarm rang 3 times, still body refused to get outta bed. Roomie worse condition- like an overturned turtle, or beached whale. Stumbled over to her and hit her bottom saying "We'll be late for class!" Responce was the *Grumble...nghhhhnmoph....*

Went to the loo, nearly knocked into teeny Malay girl on the way. Confirm she wld have toppled over had we actually collided. Look in mirror *Gack!* Weather and sweating so much is killing my face. Hair in unnatural mad-woman state.
Back in room, Suria still not up; had to be mean - stole her blanket and flicked water on her, finally some movement. Poor girl slept at 5am doing her work, i thankfully finished mine with Squatto earlier.

Why bother dressing up when its only for 3hours amongst 80 students, of which not even 10 are guys, and none even cute for that matter?
Lucky today, got buses- but still got squashed trying to get onto the 2nd one. If there were any perverts among us, he'd have a great time, as all squished together wouldnt know who's pinching who's bottom.

Things to do today :
1. Go to gym (seriously) with Squatto. Attempt to mold fat into more becoming shapes.
2. Buy mommy a bday prezzie. BJ (as in Bukit Jambul, not Bridget Jones) here i come!
3. Clear up mess in room (but why bother as it keeps going back to its usual mess; like a stress ball that will return to ball like shape no matter how much it's mauled)
4. Call Cat later ask how her first day of college was.

Ate 4 Choki-choki sticks and Tiger butter cookies- bad combo, felt ill.
Will not do it again. Will not!
Throat sore and water tastes icky. Stomache has no feeling in it. Maybe have no stomache. Food will just float around the blood stream, happy and free, in manner of 70's hippie high on mushroms.

ooh, must run. Dowanna be late. Daniel's picking up so yay, no need to suffer crowded mini bus.
Also means no possibility of bum being pinched...Hmmm....

(those that know will understand my style of writing, those that dont- go find out)

Lazy Bum Chris

stupid squatto Chris...
there i was hard at work doing OUR assignment for Monday, and what does he do ? Plays around with my phone taking pictures.. i tell you that fella ar....
If it weren't for the fact that i've known him more than half my life he'd be dead by now...

Ooh, today i signed up to go for National Conference, an inter-varsity, 6day camp thing for the local Uni. CF's.
Yay Weng Yan, will see you there...
Squatto Sam, signing up or not?

Am now sitting in a place called Big Bite using my roomie's laptop...the place here has WiFi and Chris ate some burger meal to show that we actually are nice customers (instead of just getting one of the cheapest drink) Gonna watch Msian Idol later - Squattto Sam actually gone to Genting to watch it, got tickets from someone... Have not been following, so dunno who to be cheering for- but appearently the Daniel guy is a USM student, so GO DANIEL!

Priceless

Mini bus ride : RM3
Star Newspaper: RM1.20
Dim Sum Breakfast : RM24
Look on our faces when Jon said Yi Ke 'Pot' : Priceless

Kekeke...poor thing...
So we went for breakfast Jon, Chris and i (Miss Lim was sleeping) and when we sat, the waiter came over to take our drinks order:

Waiter : Yau he se mo cha?
Jon : Err, umm, ahhhh...yi ke...yi ke *gestures a hand lifting teapot*
Waiter: *standing silent looking blur*
Jon : Urm.....yi ke....yi ke pot !
Me and Chris : Uncontrolable laughter

But twasnt Jon alone, Chris ended up saying yi ke wan, which means one bowl of tea...
My goodness, the waiter probably thought we were jakuns or something...Thankfully, i've got my brown hair to save me...Hehehe..

That breakfast was in place of morning worship cause our ride fell ill and didnt come fetch us.So sad cause we were all ready and waiting...
Was a really strange morning, the weather was identical to Cameron Highlands, the hills were covered in mist, and it was so cold...

Rewind 24hours and i was on my way to the swimming pool for my scuba practical. People, scuba diving is really REALLY GREAT! Even in the pool, it was just an amazing feeling to be under the water and breathing normally.
Halfway through it strated to rain, and when ur underwater looking up, its so pretty, the raindrops splashing onto the water's surface..Wish i had an underwater camera to capture that moment.

After everything, i could finally go back and meet Jon, who was asleep in Chris's room...Being a local uni and in public, i couldnt express fully my joy and happiness at seeing him, but i really really was.

Went and fed the biawaks, if i could upload a pic of them i would but i do nt have Hello here. Jon wasn't too keen on getting close to the creatures, dunno why - they're cute wattttt..... And then took him round on a tour of USM, showed him where my classes were etc. Only now will he understand how far we've got to walk to reach our classes, post office, hostel...
Spent a great time catching up and just enjoying being in each other's presence.

Finally, 3years late, i learned to play Counter Strike...*Thanks for being patient yar Jon*

Kekekeke, i'm hopeless.
Imagine this, i couldnt tell who was terrorist and who was Jon, that i would wait and see if they shot first or not... How silly can one get?! But i admit its quite fun, and i can see why people get addicted...
In a nutshell, i had a great weekend...

I'm the statue today

Today was horrible, the pits of crap...
The type of day where you think to yourself why is it always me ?
Sigh
On a happier note, my room has now become a pig stye, literally.
There is not one inch of space on my table, my bed is littered with stuff and its even overflowed to the floor... Sigh. Like its been bombed.
Btw, as i type this i've been up for 36hours, oh the joy of assignment due dates. And unexpected problems.

But thank God for good friends, new friends and true friends..

Chris, i have to publically announce it...cant believe i'm saying it;
You're the MAN! And a really good pal...
Ish, you're not a squat...i owe you a big one... Dinner at Williams, k ?

Sigh again, i've gotta sleep tonight, got scuba practical at 9.30am, means get up at 8am, and more joy no bus on Saturdays!
Haha, today i actually read one of the fwd's i got in the mail. Freaky cause i never read them, and todays one seemed so fitting.

Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.

Today i'm definately the statue.

4 = 6, 2 = 1/2 (what i would really call this post wld have to be censored)

Whoa, yesterday sucked big time.

Bus-load of us USMers were to go down to KLPac to watch Macbeth since thats the play we're doing this semester...
Ok, so play started at 3pm.
We left at 8.45.... on average, without too many stops, we can make it to KL in 4 hours. So supposed to reach at 12.45 - 1pm right ?
Wrong.
Whatever could go wrong did.
Firstly the drivers insisted in taking a 30min lunch break, when me lecturers were saying "no need, 20mins enough" but they werent firm so ended up 45mins stop, and only started off again AFTER filling up on petrol , that was SOOOOO much wasted time...

The co-driver took over to give the first dude a break, which was "good" cause he was a maniac driver, so much faster, and really mad, that we almost had an accident. Imagine, he tried to overtake a cement truck, that was overtaking a motorbike... there was about 1 foot in between us...
FREAKY SCARY wei!!!! All on the bus had wide eyes and could not sleep after that.
Next great thing to happen ?

*thud! bump bump bump bump bump*
Flat tyre. Great.
Stopped, and the drivers decided it was still okay to drive along, but would be slow.
He was nto kidding. 50-60 kmj on the highway is so so slow...

Oh i didnt mention the BEST part... The flat somehow managed to effect the aircon, so we had NO AIRCON for the next 2hours almost.
And of COURSE it was a freakin hot day...
Imagine all this and we're not even at the place yet.

Obviously we were late, and going into KL at 2+ is NOT the best of times....
J A M (not marmalade)
My lecturer actually called up and asked if they could hold the play for us, they tried, but eventually the show must go on! (with or without the USMers...)
When we got there, had started bout 10mins, so thats fine, but they told us that we couldnt go to our seats and distract everyone, so we had to either sit along the aisles or stand for the next 1 hour 20mins.... GREAT!

Putting the horridness aside, the play was really good, the stage arrangements, sounds, lighting and sequence really drew in the audience. And the new place, KLPac is lovely..area is called Sentul West, look out for it...

So, the bus was supposed to be repaired during the play, and pick us up after.
Show ended at bout 4.45, bus arrived at 6.50pm... Lovely eh...
Tyre fixed, but air con NOT!

Some genius planned that we go to KLCC next, and so we actually went and were supposed to be there from 7.30- 9.30. There is NOTHING to do in a place where everything is double the price , so 5 of us had the smart idea to go on the LRT to somewhere else to eat.
Chose Ipoh Chicken Rice on Jalan Gasing, yup, stopped at Taman Jaya and WALKED there...I had a bad feeling about the plan cause we only had 1 1/2 hours to get there, eat n back. But Chris insisted it was only a 10min walk, but i dont think he considered that not all in our group were fast walkers..
Desperately tried calling for help transport wise, and managed to get Joseph, thank God cause seriously every minute counted. So basically our 2 hour dinner break, became 1/2 hour of ordering and wolfing down the food.

The ONLY happy thing of the day was i saw my KITTY CAT!! Yeah, she actually came from home (Puchong) to find me knowing it would be no more than 10mins... Sigh. Seeing her made me really really miss my talking times with her. She's really one of a kind la....

Got back to the LRT station, and KLCC by 9.25pm - wanted to go to the loo just in case, but the whole floor that we were on was PREMIER TOILETS at RM2 per entry , WHAT ON EARTH?! We went round in circles looking for a free toilet... Stupid man, trying to get money even by doing THAT!!! its terrible...

Back on the bus, drove and since no air con, the door was open the whole way for air to come in. Made another unneccessary stop along the way, another 40mins wasted...
By the time in got to my room , it was 4am... YAY!

So i was all sticky, pissed off and just plain fed up from the day .
Couldnt care, went to bed.
And it was supposed to be a great day.

Thankfully, this morning got up, feeling so much better and got ready for church... Chris overslept, kekeke, but he said he had trouble falling asleep so...

Moral of the Story : Always leave early just in case Sh*t happens along the way....

Penang War Museum

Posted by Picasa
On Friday we went to visit the P.W.M for my report writing class, as our assignment is to write up on how to get more publicity to the museum.
Actually quite cool, cause its loctated on the site itself, a fort overlooking the Penang waters, where the British patrolled , and was then taken over by the Japs and used as a place of excecuting the p.o.w's

The highlight of the whole thing was definately when we went into the tunnels, about 1.3meters high, 1meter in width... Was so cool! i was the last, cause i'm not spooked by whatever folk tales there was for that area, and when i looked back, it was pitch black, total darkness. That small tunnel went round in a circle, could hold 200 soldiers, and ws sorta like a safe, so when there were bombs or enemy attacks they hid there behind the super thick walls.
We also crawled through an escape tunnel, smaller than the last one, bout one story underground, and climbed up and out.

Walking around the place made me think how cruel humans are...NOT a particular race, but Humanity itself. To what extent can one person hurt another?
For me, i cant posibbly imagine how its can be done...toture, brutal killing...
What on earth goes on in the persons mind?
Where does such hate come from?
How do you live after ?

The museum owner was telling us how he wanted the visitors to have a feeling of how it was before the war, during the war, after the war and now.
Amazing isnt is how the more things change, the more things stay the same.
Same wars.
Same hate.
Same violence.

I like this saying alot, and it comes from a man who actutally has been through the suffering and has the right to say it, unlike the polititions of today that just have really good speech writers.

No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin,or his background,or his religion.People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.

BULGOGI

Posted by Picasa

Daniel : EH, you all wanna have Japp food, bbq by the beach or Bulgogi?
Me: What the HECK is bulgogi? Fungus ar ?
Daniel : Hahaha, no its Korean steam boat and grill, buffet style...
Me : Are you SURE? i've NEVER heard of bulgogi before...

Anyways, knowing me, i chose to be sceptical until i saw proof like, the actual word printed somewhere, and know what? NO WHERE in the shop was written bulgogi...
Hurmph, but Dan (Sg. Nibung) swears it to be true so.... okayy..

So there we are at this colonial style converted shop house, filled with tables all had the above contraption in the middle, mist fan blowers and decent level music playing..And i could hardly believe what song was on...

Heart Of Worship
yup..
there was a christian album playing....like, WOW!
Sorry la, i too am guilty of making wrong judgements and this shop looked too china-man to be... =P
Me being a newbie to this style of eating, followed Daniel's lead, and grabbed my food.
There were 8 of us in total, sort of in conjunction of bdays... Squato Chris didnt come cause he was SLEEPING, i even had to shout outside his window for him, and endure other idiots poking their heads out and saying "Yes? Yes? i'm coming" Idiots. Are guys just born that way or they naturally become dumbo's after puberty...

Well. We ate till we were stuffed, Sian Yen kept telling me how nice the beef was -black pepper- , so i took and he was RIGHT! I probably ate a 1/4 of a cow by the time i was done...
After, to top it off, we had Belgian White Chocolate Cake... YUM! Those that know my love for choc, especially white will understand...Was so so good...

After few of us went to a place called the mansion. Its a really nice "chill out" place as Daniel puts it...However, for once i agree with him. Its an old...er, for lack of a better word, mansion... Right next to the beach.
Supposed to play good jazz music, but we got there too late. So just had a drink and chatted.

At the end of the day, i'm still thinking ,
Where the heck did the word BULGOGI come from ?!?!

Awake for 36hours, but worth it...

Last night almost pulled an all-nighter (with an exception of one hour)
Trying to finish up my ASSignment that was to be handed in today.
Ya see, on Monday Ann came up, so went for makan.....on Tuesday Mun Onn, Jess and W. Kit came up so went for makan....i mean, this kinda circumstances, HOW to say no? its not everyday that they come up!!!

Oh, the Gurney Hotel is really, really NICE...! The rooms are so "business man and secretary scandal/getaway" room, as Adrian Lee put it.
The bath tub has a built in jacuzzi feature...dah la i already love taking bubble baths, imagine a jacuzzi bubble bath! Bliss man....
And the kinky part of the room is, it has a window that is right next to the bed, that looks right into the bath tub...Hmmm.....Go figure.

Also has a shower stall in the big bathroom, with totally transparent glass (not the frosted kind) so if you're showering you can see...everything.
Well, Adrian had a GREAT time role playing, one moment as the boss, next as the secretary... I tell you, that boy has watched Deuce Bigalow too many times...even attempted to do a pole dance using the room floor lamp... But his dance moves were really very...one of a kind.
Me and Chris will not be forgetting it anytime soon... =P
Before lepaking at the hotel, we had dinner at Passion of Karala (cool name eh?), its this LOVELY lil restaurant that serves banana leaf rice, and its so YUMMY! Literally scrape the banana leaf till its clean...
Next lucky fella that comes up to visit us well bring them there...

Last night was good fun as well (why am i having fun when i have pending ASSignments?)
Realized when a certain "Talk to the hand" dude leaves, i will miss talking to his hand...
Ate at Gurney drive, and outta the lot, my food looked the best...muahaha, Obi Mun has the pictures.. so i can prove it to be true.
They were staying next door to the Gurney Hotel, Evergreen Laurel and Mun Onn found his future wife there...the bar/launge singer that was wearing a mini skirt so tiny it probably wouldnt even fit around one of my thighs...
Spent alot of time driving around Penang, the problem was 90% of the time was cause we were lost and kept making wrong turns... I blame the driver cause he kept driving like he knew where he was going and 5mins later only confess he's totally clueless, AND the front seat passenger for being such a lousy navigator...kekeke, had a blast tho, laughed alot.

Ooh, and had a showdown with Mun Onn, and i won cause he's like a mega wuss, and was yelping just cause i hit his arm (not even hard) and then he collapsed onto the bed ,and i figured out that he cant block his arms and his tummy at the same time - so poke poke his tummy!

Anyway, after we finally arrived back at 1am, i got cracking on my work, till bout 5.20 till i realized i was so sleepy i was typing utter crap, i decided on a nap. The moment my head hit the pillow i was out like a log, and bout an hour later 6.30am, yup AN HOUR later i got up and back to work. For the first time i actually made myself coffee...2 sachets of nescafe mild + 2 sachets of milo.... not too bad.
The plus side of everything is i managed to get my work done and exceeded what was needed. I over shot by about 500 words.. *oops* so i copy, cut and paste on my roommate's one since there's no point in my brilliant thoughts and ideas going to waste....
And after i leave the CC, i'm going back to my room for some much needed SLEEEEEEEEP!!!

TEst Test

My goodness
Today had a test for a STUPID subject...
Teknik Berfikir
Yes, we neet to be thought how to think

Its ridiculous okay. . . And its still in Malay, so even more JOY!
Well, our exam hall turned out to be under the second library SENDUT 2 , so we went, and get this, by 4.55 we were still hanging outside the doors, waiting to get in. Of course we didnt get to start by 5, by the time the 300 odd students troop in , it was about 5.10pm.

Well, the question was alright la...i think (?)
*only studied that morning, so serves me right if i do horribly*

And when it came time to hand in , not enuff time to finish what i wanted to write !!!
*grumble*

My handwriting was ... sigh. Too long have i not been under pressure to write. Karat edi.
Oh, funny part was, some ppl didnt properly write their details on the attendance slip, so they had to be called out...Actually, mine was not complete, but i somehow escaped! But hear the lady call out :
"Christopher Koh BOON HAN "

About 15mins later only we could leave, and when the woman said can go
Goodness! Imagine 300 ppl dashing for the door thats 1 meter wide...

I'm blue dabadee dabada .....

Dunno why but this morning i feel bit...
Not happy
Not yay yay yay
Not fully here
Changed my template (cause i'm feeling blue? kekeke)
Feel like the picture above.
I'll leave it up to your interpretation what it means.
(dont worry, i'm not depressed or in need of help or anything)
