A page is turned in my life
I thought i knew what was penned
Yet the smudged ink spelt out words
Of surprise i knew was coming
A page is turned and i am cold
Warmth lost to frigid unbrokenness
The sunshine goes through nothing
And freezes itself to numbness
A page is turned and i am hurting
The pain so real it frightens
Almost wishing to have never felt
Longing for the days beyond
A page is turned and i cry to Him,
The only one who hears all whispers
Vainly searching for answers
That i already know
A page is turned and the chapter ends
Blank paper once more looming
It has now sunk in too deep
As the pages turn
