Like, why is the 1sen coin bigger than the 5sen coin.
Kevin la, bring up this thought provoking question. Which we discussed over chicken breast at Subaidah.
Chicken + 1 Veggie + 1 whole egg = RM3.40 *Stomache Satisfaction*
Isit cause its cheaper to make the 1sen, so it can be bigger?
Was it a mistake that cannot be tarik-ed balik?
Or is there just really no meaning to it?

I think Mr. 1sen is compensating for something...
Ok lets put it this way...1 sen coins will get more use in circulation. Really. Think about it. I never have more than 1-2 5sen coins in my wallet at one time. But if I have 1sen coins in my wallet, more often than not, I'll have more than one. You see, the 1sen coin is more versatile. You can make any amount you want out of it...provided you have enough coins. For the 5sen coins, you can only make amounts in increments of 5. And quite often (the way things are priced), even after paying with the annoying 5sen coins, you will get some even more annoying 1sen coins back...(usually from fast food places). You go and pay for something costing $5.99...here comes Mr. 1sen. You pay for something costing $5.98...you get Mr. 1sen and his evil twin. This goes on for any amount EXCEPT unless it comes in the 5sen or rounded 10sen bracket. So there you go! The 1sen coin was probably made to be bigger for easier handling and built to take more wear and tear cuz of this. Or we are just copying the Americans and their copper penny. Maybe the 1sen coins are made of cheaper metals. I could be wrong...but then again...darn you for making me think about this. Darn you too Kevin.

1 sen or 5 sen, silver or copper, money is still money. Most people would just drop them in the donation box at McDonald's (which is one of the places you get these coins).
I wouldn't mind keeping them. Neither does my mum. So we live happily ever after.
