By the way

.
Did you actually remember that its your friend's birthday,

or did Facebook remind you?

Did you really mean to wish the person,

or is it just the thing to do?

And if the latter, then what's the point...

Have we gotten to the age where we can express the same feeling in a generic wish on a FB page, as a deliberate phone call or meet up where more effort is required than a few keystrokes and a mouse click.

People you could, but don't see 365days a year, leave you a 3 word message; does that mean anything? Or is it just what it is.

Has a note on a "wall" become the new sms, which was the new phone call, which was the new snail mail card, which was the new personal greeting.

Hmmmm....

Hahahaha

Firstly, i'm FAR from old. Life's just getting started.
And it'll start again at 30...40...

Naw, I'm not cynical. I just think its an unnecessary social reflex.

i don think you're cynical at all. i agree, in fact im starting a revolution to stop all facebooking :) well, thinking abt it. i thk that FB and all the web stuff is just getting bit much and makes people oh so hypocritical, esp friendships. i have ppl who haven't spoken to me in 20 years and are my FB "friends" looking into my life, photos and things i do. brr
