A gape

Well, today i went for my first Uni. CF meeting . Actually, last night there was a Combined Freshmen night, where all the uni CF's (there's 4 of them) one in BM, Chinese and two English ones, joined together and gave an intro to the freshies. Each told abit about their group , and how its run, time place...etc.
So yeah, today went for it .

I was thinking bout my school CF's.
In secondary school, back in DU , i NEVER went for a single meeting, i found it to be SO fake, full of the people that were the worst every other day of the week, but on Fridays 12.30 suddenly like someone else. Yes, yes, not all were like that, and i shouldnt be stereotyping, but thats how i felt bout it lor, which is why i never attended a single one.

Then when i went to BB, it was so different. There were so few people going , that it felt more family like. And the people there were so genuine...I dunno la, who's to say what about who's more christian and all , but it seemed as if they had their stuff right..

So now i'm in yet another. Its funny, cause all these years in TLC, feeling at home, now i'm the one thrown into a whole new setting, i'm the one people approach with the "Hi-nice to meet you..." smile, i'm the one they're probably wondering about... Oh NO, and if there's a Joshua Lee in their midst, its probably "oh man, what is she WEARING! Look how ugly her shirt is...blah blah...its SO last season" Kekeke...

They're friendly (duh) and FINALLY met English speaking people (ESP)...Hahaha, sounds so strange right ? But for the past few weeks , Chris & I have been on the look out for ESP, and we've not found any lor... Mostly chiang-hwa-yee, Malay n Tamil. We met some senior students same course as us, so shall get words of wisdom from them . They too have their, after CF makan, so we went la, and talked abit more to some of them there... I'm sure it'll be fine, after a while , and i wont be so "stranger" and hopefully will fit in.

The only thing i find is, dunno why we gotta repeat the song over and over...They like repeating songs i guess, the chorus sung at least 3 times, if not more. And for Hallelujah To The Lamb, we started with the chorus, and sang it about 3times, first verse once and chorus another 3-4 times....! Guess just not used to it....

But overall i'm so glad that i'm finally in a CF. Been missing out on praising and worshipping God, can feel it. And this Sunday we'll be going to Sg. Nibung Gospel Hall. Hope will be alright. Neh- it will be alright...

Last Thought : Though it doesnt matter at all, our Prez is Brethren... Woo hoo! Kekeke But we could tell before hand, how he spoke, and how he prayed...

yeah CAmp Cam is the big one. I think usually it is the CF com that goes on those though...I don't think they would be able to handle CF members from all the unis. As for repetitive singing..that's charismatic praise and worship for you...:P

hey shelby, you will learn that the current PKA pres is a very capable guy, spiritually sound and firm on his stands. He is ne smart geek who used to wear prof glasss (*you know, lenses like magnifying glasses) but very fun person to mix around with. We went for the same RBS together with Keat Poh, Kevin, Timothy Leong, Adelene Koh and Charity.

Being in uni is really an eye opener. It challenges our Christian values and sometimes questions our believes and doctrines esp when you're from a New Testament Church like all the Gospel Hall brethrens you know of. But have faith, all these exposure is only meant for the building up of your identity in Christ. At the end, you'll eventually turn up to be 3 quarters smoother than you were (1 quarter smooth) when you went in.

God's blessings in your journey of discovery.

Being in USM you realli need to know the 1 quarter and 3 quarters smooth rock thingy. Also go to Desa Aman Damai to eat nasi tomato! Go to desa gemilang to eat nasi lemak! Go to chanselori to get cheap food in air-con setting. Visit the museum-not boring! Go to Desa Harapan for the good char koay teow and the one and onli cina man stall which sells chap fan.

You're in the best uni in malaysia! I can vouch to that!
